training@rand.com www.rand3d.com 877.726.3243 LIVE Online Learning: Frequently Asked Questions During Class: What will I see when I attend a LIVE Online training session? Once the instructor begins presenting, you will see his/her presentation slides and the live software they are running as they demonstrate features and techniques. The instructor will duplicate the in-class experience as closely as possible. Can I interact with the instructor and other participants? Yes, the LIVE Online training sessions are designed to be interactive and collaborative. You will hear the instructor speak, in addition to seeing his/her screen, and you can ask questions as you would in a classroom session. While completing hands-on practice exercises, you will be able to share your screen with the instructor to ask questions. Will there be breaks during the LIVE Online session? Yes, we schedule breaks in our LIVE Online session as we do in our in-person training. At the beginning of each class, the instructor will review the schedule and indicate when breaks are expected. How many students can be in a LIVE Online class? In order to keep the student/instructor ratio at a healthy number so participants get the best possible experience, we try to limit the number of participants to no more than 8 per class. Technical Details: What if I cannot connect to the LIVE Online session? If there is a technical issue that prevents you from connecting to the session, we will provide alternative dates and sessions that you can attend. What if I must miss one of the sessions? Missing a LIVE Online session is the same as missing a classroom session in one of our training centers. Can I record the LIVE Online sessions? No. Our LIVE Online sessions are copyrighted and we do not provide permission for them to be recorded. What are the system requirements? Our LIVE Online training classes have minimal hardware/software requirements. A reliable wired high-speed internet connection is the most critical requirement. This is especially important if your Internet connection is shared with other users or if you are running additional applications over the connection (VOIP phone, VPN, etc.). A computer with Windows OS and a 3 button mouse is required if you will be remote linking to one of our computers to access CATIA or Creo Parametric.
