training@rand.com www.rand3d.com 877.726.3243 LIVE Online Learning: Frequently Asked Questions LIVE Online classes give you the expertise & attention of a dedicated instructor, together with the collaborative experience of a classroom setting and the convenience of taking classes remotely. See below for our most frequently asked questions, and reach out to us if you have a question we didn't cover. Pre-Class: How will I be notified of my confirmation? Just like with our classroom training, you will receive a confirmation email. Additionally, you will receive login instructions via email several days prior to class from one of our training coordinators with details of how to join the LIVE Online sessions. Do I need a headset? You may dial in with a telephone to access the audio for the LIVE Online session, or you can access the audio through your PC. In both cases, a hands-free option such as a headset will make it easier to listen and perform your hands-on tasks in the software. If there is background noise in your environment, you should have a way to mute your microphone. The instructor can also mute an individual or all participants if required. Do I need to have the software (CATIA or Creo Parametric) installed on my PC? If you have the software installed on your PC, you may use that when completing the hands-on practice exercises included with the class. If you do not have the software installed, we can provide remote access to one of our training PCs for use during the class. Contact us for details. Do I receive a training guide? Yes, we can have a printed training guide shipped to your location prior to the session. We also make our training guides available in a digital eBook format that can be viewed on a PC or tablet. Do LIVE Online classes cost the same as a face-to-face class? Yes. Whether you attend a face-to-face class or a LIVE Online training session, you get the same value. Our instructors who teach in-person classes are the same ones leading the online sessions, and each use a proven learning style that incorporates all three learning methods (audio, visual, and tactile) for maximum retention. Are LIVE Online classes scheduled the same as a regular class? They can be! There are a variety of ways to schedule LIVE Online classes. We can take an in-person class and turn it into a LIVE Online class. That means the class will run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in the client's time zone (or other agreed upon time zone) for the number of days required to complete the course. In the event where class attendees are spread between multiple time zones, our training coordinators will work with the students to pick a mutually agreeable time.
