LIVE Online Connection Requirements
Rand 3D's LIVE Online training classes utilize a combination of internet-based audio conference calls and hands-on
computer lab work. In order to connect to the calls and lab, you will need a hard-wired internet connection. Please
complete the following steps a few days prior to your class to ensure you will have full access to the class environment
and to give us time to help you should a connectivity issue be discovered.
Internet Connection Bandwidth:
• Internet bandwidth speed should be broadband or greater (cable, DSL, or FiOS).
■ 1-2 Mbs is required, 3-5 Mbs is recommended
• Wired network connection. A wireless (WiFi) connection may work but is NOT recommended
• Cell phone tethering and mobile MiFi connections are not supported.
Firewall Ports:
If possible, allow all access to *.readytech.com over port 443.
If that's not possible, or does not work, continue to allow the IP and ports below;
*.readytech.com on TCP (ports 80, 443) and UDP (ports 3478,5349,33478)
Operating System:
• Windows 7 or greater
• MAC OS X 10.9 or greater
• Tablets and iPads are NOT recommended.
Preferred Browsers:
• Chrome Version 56+
• Firefox Version 44+
• Edge Version 15+
Mouse:
• A 3-button mouse with a scroll is highly recommended.
Monitors:
• Classes use Microsoft Teams and ReadyTech simultaneously. To be able to view your virtual machine and the
instructor's screen at the same time, dual monitors will be beneficial. If you are also using an ebook version of the
manual, a third monitor is recommended.
