training@rand.com www.rand3d.com 877.726.3243 Test Your Computer's Connectivity For LIVE Online Classes Rand 3D's LIVE Online training classes utilize a combination of an audio conference call and a hands-on computer lab to connect students with the trainer in our virtual training environment. For classes to start promptly and to ensure that you have the best experience possible, it is critical that you test your computer's ability to successfully connect to both the audio conference and to the hands-on lab environment prior to class. Please complete the following steps a few days prior to your class to ensure you will have full access to the class environment and to give us time to work with your IT staff should a connectivity issue be discovered. Testing the VOIP audio conference: Webex audio conferencing allows students to connect using either a computer based headset (VOIP) or by calling in from a standard telephone system. We HIGHLY recommend the use of a headset for the audio connection as speakerphones and most standard computer speakers / microphones increase the background noise heard on the call and can be disruptive to others. Please note that Webex is being used for both the audio and to share the instructor's screen for the presentation/demonstration. Even if you use the 'dial-in' option to connect to the audio portion of the class, you will still need to connect to the Webex meeting to view the instructor's presentation. Follow the steps below to ensure you can connect to the Webex audio conferencing system. 1. Click on https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html or copy and paste it in your internet browser. (Google Chrome is recommended). 2. Type in your Name and Email address and click Join.
