1.2 Surface Interface
CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE contains several apps that enable you
to create surface features. This section introduces the basic
tools of the Generative Shape Design (GSD) app.
Access
the GSD
Workbench
To use this app, open a part model then from the Compass,
select the outer ring called Roles, Apps & Solutions portfolio.
A drop down list appears; select from the list.
GSD User
Interface
The interface for the GSD app is very similar to that of the Part
Design app. The primary difference is that the ActionBar
changes to GSD-specific tools, as shown in Figure 1–3.
