Extra options are available when using Open With, as shown in

The advanced options are described as follows:
Section Description
References With visible expanded children opens only the
parts that are expanded in the tree.
With expanded children opens all subparts of an
assembly, regardless of the tree being expanded.
Representations Select what type of references will be loaded.
Other
Preferences
Select to automatically lock (check out) the
selected elements for modification.
