3DDASHBOARD
The 3DDashboard, shown in Figure 1–2, is a front home page
for your projects. In here, you can gather information from a
variety of sources - reports, 3D models, files, group
communications - to gain a holistic view of the project.

Apps
Applications (apps) are the various programs which run in the
3DEXPERIENCE platform. These are equivalent to
workbenches in V5. Several apps are shown in Figure 1–3. Each
application is made of several commands related to a common
task. For example, the CATIA Part Design application contains
commands used to build 3D solid models.
