Turntable
Particularly with large assemblies or folders, it may be useful to
engage the turntable view. The turntable will show a 3D
representation of the assembly, as shown in Figure 1–16.
Parts are visible based on tree expansion:
• If the tree is expanded and open, the part will be displayed in
the turntable.
• If a particular branch of the tree is collapsed and not visible,
then that part will not be displayed in the 3D area.

Essentially, the turntable is a large preview. To modify and
analyze the parts, they will need to be opened.
To use the turntable:
1. Find an assembly or folder and Explore it.
2. In the View tab of the Action Bar, click (Swap
Turntable/In-place) or press F9 to enable/disable the
exploded turntable view.
