Instead, files are stored in the engineering database for access by other team members or departments. File access is controlled by the database administrator or someone with the appropriate security access. • Click (Share) and Save. The files will be saved to the database using the default settings. • Click (Share) > Save with Options to further control the saving operation. Save with Options When using save with Options, the current status of the parts can be checked by viewing the circles on the left, as shown in Figure 1–22. Filters can be used to pick what types of parts are displayed, such as only showing modified items. If a part has been accidentally changed, it can be excluded from being saved. To make a copy of a part, there is Save As New as well as revision options.
