Imagine that you are trying to complete an ergonomic analysis for various poses of a human manikin. These poses will represent the statures that workers will be in throughout their work period. Within the Human Posture Analysis workbench in CATIA, there exists a way to set up preferred angular limitations for each manikin segment. These preferred angles will allow you to instantly see if an arm/shoulder/neck is in an acceptable or non-acceptable position. With the HPA license extracted, you can then switch over to the human posture analysis workbench. First, you can simplify the display of the manikin to remove the skeletal line segments.
Next, to establish the preferred angles.
Using the same method above, create as many additional preferred angle bands as necessary, making sure to adjust the score for each area band.
Next, you can set the manikin to display the arm color to reflect the current preferred angle band that it currently is. First, turn off the active icon (Edits the angular limitations and the preferred angles). Then right click on the manikin from the specification tree and go to properties.
