Hello everyone, in this short video we’re going to delve into the cylinder command. We need to start off with a point, so you’ll need to make one, or have one in your design space. Make sure you're in the Generative Shape Design workbench and scroll down until you find the extrude fly out. The cylinder is going to be on the far right. Once you click on it, the cylinder dialogue box will come up. Click on the point where this cylinder is going to start, and define its direction. It can be one of the compass directions, or you can define its direction with a line. Next, enter a radius and length. If the point represents the center of the cylinder you have two options, you can click mirrored extents and enter Length 1 accordingly, or you can define length one and length two independently. You’ve now defined your cylinder; from there you can either use thick surface or close solid to turn this into a part body. For more details, watch the short demo below.
