Software upgrading gives an organization the opportunity to design new workflows and improve processes. The new software’s enhanced features and more efficient ways of performing organizational tasks can often reduce costs and increase productivity. However, if employees are not trained in a timely manner, productivity levels will be impacted.
Training the users prior to a new software roll out is critical to ensuring a seamless transition.
Rand 3D is a leader in the CAD and PLM software training space, delivering tailored training solutions for over 35 years. Rand 3D’s strength is their ability to customize any part of a training program to address specific gaps in software skills while putting together a team of experts to ensure that a client’s transition is seamless.
I’d like to share with you a recent success story of how the Rand 3D team helped a global manufacturer transition from CATIA V5 to the 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA platform.
With a mission to design energy-efficient products for the North American market, this client needed to upskill their employees quickly to become productive users of the new platform. Leveraging decades of experience in CAD and PLM training, Rand 3D delivered a comprehensive solution that included creating a flexible, user-role-based training program for over 2,000 users.
The Rand 3D team was responsible for:
ü Designing and delivering a training program
ü Developing custom courseware
ü Maintaining the training content and keeping it up-to-date
Rand 3D studied the client requirements and documented the new workflows as they were being developed, and also provided input on best practices and processes. The curriculum development strategy of using standard Rand 3D courseware where applicable and creating custom content from scratch where required also ensured cost savings for the client. Through effective resource management and schedule monitoring, the project was delivered on time and of high quality.
