In my 30+ year career of teaching various 3D CAD systems, I have taught some that supported the use of multiple bodies for modeling parts and some that did not. For someone coming from a CAD system that supported multiple bodies to a CAD system like Creo Parametric that did not, a frequent comment was 'how am I going to be able to do my modeling?' While multiple body capabilities do make some tasks easier, in almost all the cases there were tools in Creo and simple modeling strategies you could use to get around this limitation easily. Sometimes, people did not want to hear them just because they were different from what they were used to, and this caused them frustrations.
Starting with Creo 7.0, multiple body modeling has now come to Creo. This on-demand webcast will step you though the basics of how multiple bodies work in Creo Parametric. The good news? You don’t have to change any of your old modeling processes, but you can begin to integrate multiple bodies into them wherever it can speed up and simplify your design process.
