Q: Will the color mapping originally created in WF5 work on Creo4? I opened an assembly created in WF5 in Creo 4 and all models were black

A: Yes. The color mapping originally created in legacy versions will work in Creo 4.0. I tested several of my models, even ones created using ProENGINEER 2000i2 and WF 3.0. All of them opened in Creo 4.0 with the originally assigned colors.

Q: Are there cheat sheets available from PTC that shows what was versus what is in the UI?

A: I have not found a cheat sheet yet. There have been ones for previous versions of the software. When I become aware of a good one, I will recreate a new post with a link to it
