How to Explode an Assembly and Place it on a Drawing

July 25, 2022 Mark Potrzebowski

In this CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE demonstration, I’m going to show you how to create an exploded slide within an assembly, and then use that slide to create a custom exploded view within the drawing. This method is helpful to allow for customization of position, color, and visibility within the same assembly. We will then use those customizations to create a drawing view.

Topics covered in my video demonstration include:

  • How to create a markup
  • How to create a slide
  • What is the Design Review app
  • How to explode an assembly
  • How to use a slide to create a drawing view
